It is feeling a little like FALL

I love this time of year - the smell, the feel, the love, the hope {if everything goes right on Tuesday that is}, the family, the happiness.

This weekend was just a blur of time. Friday I can't even remember what we did - oh yes we went to dinner, shoe shopping for the kiddos and we finished our outfits for our family Christmas photos!!

On Saturday the hubs went on a 40 mile bike ride [nuts that man - yes he is] with his friends while the boy hung out with his grandpa and cousin the the girls went shopping!! My MIL wanted to take the girls shopping for matching xmas outfits - oh so cute! It was fun just the girls chatting, shopping and I got to play with my niece.

On Saturday night the kiddos spent the night at the neighbors house so that left the parents FREE!!! We decided to go on a bike ride (yeap the hubby put in another 8 miles) that I can ride over 2 miles per hour - I am typically stuck with the girl at the back. My MIL and FIL went with us and then we headed to dinner. It was nice to just have grown up talk and not MOM this MOM that. We ended the night with ice cream {crap but it was good} and uninterrupted TV time.. YES we are a crazy bunch over here.

Sunday we attended my FF daughter's birthday then the FALL began.

We decorated.
We baked.
We cooked.

It is starting to smell a lot like FALL

and this moment just captures my heart - when my baby girl fell asleep on me - geez this hasn't happened in ages.

Also, while I was catching up on my blogs Sunday night I ran across two that gave me ways to help out Sandy Victims...If you are interested check out the blogs here and here

  1. Sounds like a great weekend (minus the bike rides- I'm way too lazy for that). :). I'm having the hardest time deciding in outfits for family pictures! Ours are in 2 weeks

  2. WOW that pie looks delish! Glad you guys had a great weekend. I don't know how you or your hubby does the bike riding thing- so many miles!

  3. What a nice weekend! Love the picture of your little one falling asleep on you.

Thanks for linking up to Raising Imperfection!

  4. 40 miles! Nutcase!! Good for him.
What a great post. It's crazy how busy we get sometimes and those precious moments like your daughter falling asleep on you makes it all worth it!
