I want to FORGET all of the work that is needed for the babies party and JUST enjoy it!
I want to FORGET that I still need to bake all of the cupcakes tomorrow, go shopping {food not the fun kind}.
I want to FORGET that Party City had a helium shortage?? Really?? Are you serious.
I want to FORGET the frustration that I was in for the beginning of this week - it put me in a sour mood.
I want to FORGET that I had to recharge my Starbucks card...umm several times this week.

I want to FORGET that I forgot to make our trailer payment until this week - yikes....

I want to FORGET about the bread I had at dinner when we went to Disneyland.

I want to FORGET that Kristen and Rob ever broke up {hey watching Twilight will not be the same} [I did hear they are back and as long as they can stay together until after I see the movie I will be fine]
Rob and Kris back so I can now enjoy

Bella and Edward!!!

I don't want to FORGET the amazing personal week I have had with my babies and celebrating their birthdays. Here are a few pictures that I LOVE from this week. [full story with the pics will be up soon look out for them].

The BOY turns 5

How do I even start a post about my first child turning 5? Really how can this be?? I can remember so much from the moment I saw him to today {ok I try to block out the crying, screaming and refusing to eat anything green phase and oh yeah potty training - but still I can remember all of it}.
I just can't believe it has been 5 years.

Where has the time gone? I can remember seeing him for the first time at the hospital - so small, so perfect, so stole my heart. Now fast forward five years and he is ALL boy - bike riding, tball playing, spelling bee champ and above all rowdy! I just can not imagine my life with out him.

Now pictures from his birthday party will be up soon but since both of our children are so close in birth dates we combine them [oh yes I do and I will as long as I can get away with it].

Before I get into his birthday celebrations and combined stuff too {another few posts to follow}

I want to show you my little man over the last five years.

OKAY as I was looking for the photos I am just BLOWN away by how much I love him and the little man he is turning into.... yikes

His birth DAY

1 years old

2 years old

3 years old

4 years old
Birthday Boy the BIG 5

But for now I want to give you a little insight into his birthday celebrations.

First thing First: I wanted the day to be ALL about him from waking up to the second his head hits his pillow.

I snuck into his room and quietly woke him up singing happy birthday. He even curled up in my lap and let me snuggle {love the little moments}. We headed down stairs for his first surprise - his first birthday gift of the year.
Oh yes an alarm clock hehe - but it does match his room

Then it was breakfast time - homemade banana muffins and a fruit shake for his breakfast

He did have to go to school on his birthday and I am sorry to report that his school as opted to celebrate all of the birthdays at the end of the year - so there is NO taking cupcakes to his school or even throwing a little party {really??? super bummed but moving on}. So what was I to do for him special?? Well first off I wanted to make his lunch special so I let him have what ever he wanted - left over pizza (yes that is what he wanted), V-8 Fusion drink and wait for it..... a homemade chocolate chip cookie {remember I don't give them chocolate so this was a treat}.

His grandma is starting a tradition of taking each kid on their birthday to make the day all about them. He was picked up early from school and received his gift (the below bike and helmet) and he even had a little lego building time.

I received my second present - my new BMX bike and helmet from grandma and grandpa

We also asked the boy what he wanted for dinner - soup from Vince's - you bethca honey anything you want [score for mom I love their soup].

Grandma and Grandpa came out for the big 5 dinner

Guess how old I am???

Also, I wanted to mention and THANK everyone that called him on his big day! The phone calls just added to the excitement!

Look for the next posts that will highlight their trip to Disneyland and their birthday part and of course an entire Day for the girl!!!

Is this NOT one of the truest statements ever!!!!!!!!!

Weightloss SUCKS

My weight loss journey has become harder now that I am older MORE then ever. Since I have been fat a majority of my life and I HATE being fat I know that it is a very easy slippery slope to get on. It seems you can pack on the weight overnight yet it takes me years to get it off.

I was very successful with WW however now I feel it constraints me too much AKA why I am not losing the last of my weight because the going off the cuff gets you in trouble.

I have tried everything under the moon even the Hcg crap - really to me it is crap you don't eat - hello I could just stop eating but as you can tell I am not doing that.

I have tried pills, working out, food plans, eating one thing vs the other, etc...

The thing that works the best for me an a balance between food and exercise - which I know is the key HOWEVER life gets in the way, emotions get in the way, it just happens.

I am a sucker for sweet and salty  - bad combo. I will sometimes crave NUTS lots of them then the next day I HAVE to have a piece of dark chocolate. It is that deep down craving that I can not control.

So I look to my: will power {has anyone seen it}, fellow bloggers, text messages anything and everything to keep me on this healthy journey.

So here is the TRUTH of the matter:

Truth: I have the CONSENT battle for weight loss
Truth: I can not get this last 10-15 lbs off
Truth: I am not trying as hard or as consist as I should be
Truth: I love food
Truth: I am sick and tired of being on an emotional roller coaster
Truth: I am tired of being an emotional eater
Truth: I WANT to be healthy
Truth: I want to be a size or two smaller
Truth: I want a flat stomach {at 35 getting a tummy tuck for sure}
Truth: I want to have no bingo flaps on my arms {advice what exercise is best for this}
Truth: I actually feel the best I have been in a long time but once you get comfortable it is easy to pack it back on
Truth: I like being healthy
Truth: I like being SKINNIER then I was before
Truth: I like being able to have the option to buy items in the junior section
Truth: I like to buy clothes in the single digit sizes

Truth: This is a picture of me at my heaviest almost 10 years ago - 212 pounds - yes that is right age 23 and 5 foot 5 - huge!

Truth: I actually ENJOY no LOVE running/jogging!

TRUTH: I will Do this! I will conquer this weight! I will LOSE the weight!!

Blog Friends Book Club - Questions for What Alice Forgot

                                                                Amazon Description:

What would happen if you were visited by your younger self, and got a chance for a do-over?

Alice Love is twenty-nine years old, madly in love with her husband, and pregnant with their first child. So imagine her surprise when, after a fall, she comes to on the floor of a gym (a gym! she HATES the gym!) and discovers that she's actually thirty-nine, has three children, and is in the midst of an acrimonious divorce.

A knock on the head has misplaced ten years of her life, and Alice isn't sure she likes who she's become. It turns out, though, that forgetting might be the most memorable thing that has ever happened to Alice.

We will have the review for What Alice Forgot on Monday October 1st.

In preparation for our October 1st book review Lindsay and I thought this time around we would put the questions out there a head of time. The below questions {only a few but if you are interested in more please head over and take a look} were taken off of the list provided by the publisher over at

Did you like the younger Alice best? Or did you relate more to the older Alice?

What would your younger self of ten years ago think of the person you are today?

What would surprise your younger self most about the life you're currently leading? What would disappoint you?

Do you think it was realistic that Alice ended up back with Nick? Were you happy with that ending? Do you think they would have ended up together if she hadn't lost her memory?

If you were to write a letter to your future self to be opened in ten years, what would you say?

And just a reminder you can find the rest of the choosen books here

Weekend Bliss Recap

Okay I have to say this has been one of the best weekends! It was low key yet very productive and FUN!!!

On Friday night I went out with a dear Forever Friend. It was a simple wonderful dinner and walking the local stores. It is a rare treat that the two of us get together {without kids or a kids birthday party}. WONDERFUL time it got me all ready for a wonderful weekend. Thank you FF!!

NOW remember the Rhino we bought last weekend??? If not go here!
